ENV1627 Security Standard

All Torterolo & Re security doors meet the European standard, ENV 1627  (established in 1999)

Class 3 doors (our Gold Series) are manufactured to:

Prevent forced entry by the “standard burglar” - therefore

  • Withstand assault with crowbars for 5 minutes
  • Withstand pressure on the lock of 600 kg
  • Withstand pressure on the corners of 300 kg.

Class 4 doors (our Gold Plus Series) are manufactured to:

Prevent forced entry by the “experienced criminal” - therefore

  • Withstand assault using crowbars, drills, saws for 10 minutes
  • Withstand pressure on the lock of 1000 kg
  • Withstand pressure on the corners of 600 kg.

In addition, all doors are sound proof and certain models are also fire proof (Rw 40dB and EI 30).
